My First Week With Article Samurai

When the people from Market Samurai announced their new article marketing tool, Article Samurai, I was invited to participate in their initial test group, limited to 500 of us. Of course, I jumped at the chance!

Why was I so eager? Well first off, I trust the Market Samurai people. I have always found them to be top notch in all that they did. So naturally I was curious about Article Samurai.

But moreover, it was because I’m an avid article marketer, and was frustrated at the time it took to syndicate articles, and disappointed with the results I’d had with other tools. It’s not that it wasn’t working, it’s just that the ratio of work to results wasn’t as great as I would have liked.

Enter Article Samurai. In the days leading up to the release, their promotional/training videos touted the ease of use, speed of spinning and massive syndication, leading to what we all want: backlinks, improved Google rankings and traffic.

I was hooked from the beginning (as you can read in my 1st Article Samurai post). It was so simple to use! I kept wondering if I was even using it correctly, as it seemed too easy. The spinning was automatic, and a breeze. They aren’t lying saying it only takes 10 minutes to spin an entire article, and that’s a quality spin.

When the spinning was done, I hit a “syndicate” button. And that was IT! Really, I spent hours on article spinning, submitting and tweaking with my old tools. This couldn’t be any easier.

But Does It Work?

I submitted 6 articles over a one week period. Article Samurai takes a day or two to approve each article, then provides a status of “syndicating”. I could tell activity was happening, as my inbox was loaded with pingback notifications, in a quantity that I hadn’t experienced before.

The Results

At the time of this writing, Article Samurai has already built around 400 new backlinks for my site. Since they syndicate over time rather than all at once, this number will surely grow quickly over the coming 1-2 months.

I am already ranking first page on Google for several new keywords, and I’m watching steady improvement on others. I have seen improved page rankings as well.

And that’s just with the articles I’ve submitted so far. I consider this an amazing success!

My Recommendation

It’s easy. It’s incredibly fast. The spins are perfect. One click to submit. Fast, abundant backlinks. First page Google rankings. Improving page rankings. What’s not to love?

Article Samurai is a definite winner, and I haven’t even seen the full extent yet! I couldn’t be more pleased, and therefore I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to build backlinks and traffic through blogging and article marketing, the most convenient way I’ve seen, hands down.

Article Samurai is Unleashed

I love article marketing, but I hate doing it. I began not long ago, and became a student of the process. Having not done it before, it certainly presented plenty of challenges in my network marketing efforts.

Using some popular tools for spinning and article submission, I found that it was a very tedious process for me, taking a lot of time and frustration. My tools lacked good tracking and had horrible training. I struggled through it, and saw success, but only with tremendous effort. Yet I still felt that something was missing and that I wasn’t reaching anywhere near the potential that article marketing held.

Then, last week, as a Market Samurai customer I was invited to purchase the new Article Samurai in the early release. Of course, I jumped at the chance.

I’ve had it for just two days now, but wanted to share my initial reaction.

Article Marketing Training

The first thing that impressed me was the introductory videos, released even before the program itself. In just a few short videos, all the “missing links” and holes in my understanding of article marketing were cleared up. For me, it was one giant “aha” moment after another. Months and months of unknown, and Article Samurai fills in all those blanks, and I hadn’t even bought anything yet!

Article Samurai is not just an automation tool like the others. Rather, they took the time to research what professional marketing firms do to maximize results, and are passing those techniques on to us. The program is written to specifically implement those same methods. So it really does practice what it preaches, putting quality article marketing within reach of us normal people.

Being that it is newly released, there are no other support videos yet, but none seem too necessary so far.

First Use of Article Samurai

I dived right in and was hooked from the beginning. The setup took just a few moments, and I was already submitting an article. It was a simple cut and paste endeavor, followed by one click of an automatic spin button. The entire article was spun in seconds, ready for my review.

A manual review of the spin words is recommended, and the interface made it quick and simple. The word choices were right on target. 10 minutes and I was confident I had a fantastic result, compared to the nonsense that my previous spinner often generated.

Then, you hit the Syndicate button. That’s it! I couldn’t believe it. I used to spend hours fussing with my old program, trying to get it right, and then never really knowing what the results were.

Now, the articles I submitted are pending review from the syndication networks, so I can’t tell you the results yet. But Article Samurai is one of those rare products that is so impressive from the start, that I have nothing but confidence. We’ll have to wait to find out the results... I'll let you know!

It's All About People in MLM

There’s no dispute. Network marketing is a People Business. Without people in MLM, there is no MLM. Simple, right?

When you joined your MLM company, you were told to brainstorm to get as many people as possible on to a list for you to contact. You probably were given a “memory jogger” form to help you remember all the people you’ve ever known, going back to kindergarten.

The Obvious Mistake

The problem here is that you are not targeting a market. Without targeting, you are shooting without aiming first. You might hit something you want once in a while, but you’re going to waste a lot of shots trying.

The Simple Solution

You will improve your success dramatically by targeting your market rather than randomly soliciting.

So who is your market? People in MLM already. But you may be thinking, if they’re already IN network marketing, how am I going to recruit them into MY opportunity?

Here’s the trick. People in MLM move. They move from company to company, thinking that it is the product, or the pricing, or the comp plan that is causing their lack of success. After all… they did what their upline told them… why isn’t it working?

Why?

Network marketing comp plans are designed to make people work and work and work FIRST, and receive benefits later. Way, way later. This isn’t necessarily a problem, but it is rarely disclosed to rookie network marketers.

So, when the immediate success doesn’t come, people in MLM companies think that it’s their company or product to blame.

To make matters worse, the sponsors or upline don’t typically know how to market in a way that drives hungry prospects. People in MLM who want to join you. As you have probably learned, going head to head with the “my product is better than your product” approach is a giant waste of time.

So What’s the Key?

What the typical network marketer is lacking is Leadership. If you want to succeed in MLM, you need a Mentor. Someone who can guide you, not just parrot what they were told by their sponsor, and so on.

They may not always realize that they are without leadership though, as their upline seems to be motivating them, holding meetings, helping with 3-way calls, etc. But it isn’t enough.

Conclusion

The most successful people in MLM today are following the principles of attraction marketing, which is simply the art of providing real value to our fellow marketers, teaching them what their upline won’t (or can’t), and building lasting relationships.

People join people, not opportunities... and MLM Pros know it!

Stand out as a real leader, with real answers, and you’ll never have a shortage of prospective team members again.

You can do this even if you just started in network marketing! Don’t let ANYTHING stand in your way. The method I mentioned above, is to use a multi level marketing system for lead generation. The 3 Success Factors for Network MLM Marketing

So you either joined a network MLM marketing company or you’re thinking about it. Either way, you need to understand the simple facts about the industry if you expect to be successful.

A successful network MLM entrepreneur must treat their business as a business, not a hobby. Part time is ok, but you will not get the results you want unless you focus on growing a business first. Just like an architect, a mechanic, or a school teacher, you need to possess the proper skills, training and tools to make your business work. This lack of training and education is the reason most will fail in their network MLM marketing businesses.

Success Factor #1 – The Right Mentor

First, to obtain the necessary skills, you need a mentor. This, unfortunately, is rarely the person who sponsored you into the business. Most network marketers simply “parrot” the same advice they heard over and over from their upline, and so on.

Find a mentor who can teach you the real principles of the top earners in network MLM marketing today. Those who know how to leverage the online marketing arena to its fullest, while still possessing the traditional, or off-line, skills to make the business grow. After all… this is, and will always be, a people business. How do you find such a mentor? It isn’t too hard. Look to those that are providing the type of training you need, who you feel you can connect with. Again, it probably isn’t your upline.

Success Factor #2 – The Right Training

Second, obtain training materials such as Magnetic Sponsoring, or other training on the concept of Attraction Marketing. Your mentor will guide you to the right training courses. They are typically very inexpensive and are vital to your personal skills development. Once you awaken yourself to all the fantastic free and inexpensive training out there, you will have plenty to learn from. My advice here? Never stop learning. Become familiar with many strategies, such as social network MLM marketing, video sites, pay per click, etc., but then focus on one strategy that suits you. Study, learn and implement that single strategy until you are receiving your desired results before moving on to another one. Dedicate yourself to becoming a true MLM Pro.

Success Factor #3 – The Right Tools

Third, you need tools. Without an MLM system to run your business, develop and manage leads, and to make you look experienced and professional, you will have a hard time convincing enough people that you are the one they want to do business with. Your company’s replicated MLM website will not do. They are typically product focused, and don’t do a good job of attracting the right prospects… people who want to build a solid network MLM marketing business. While there are several systems available, you should find the one that offers proven pre-designed lead capture pages, autoresponder series, and a great affiliate income potential.

The best system will be one that uses the concept of the “funded proposal”. That is, a system that enables you to earn money on affiliate commissions while you build your list of prospective team members. Money is fuel for your business. The ability to generate income while building your list is a magical formula.

MLM Lead Generation Companies - The Problems and Solutions

Network marketers are constantly in pursuit of the magic pill that will create leads. So logically, after we have exhausted our warm market, had parties and home meetings, and been rejected by everyone we know, we look at a variety of MLM lead generation companies. They sound like a great idea, and their sales pitch is fantastic!

Problem #1 – Cost

Bottom line, it is expensive to buy leads. While there are many MLM lead generation companies in the marketplace, they all cost money. Often a lot of money. Most network marketers don’t have the budget to invest in this type of expensive lead purchasing, and even if you do, your money can be better spent.

Solution

Use a “Funded Proposal” system. The concept of a funded proposal is the solution. Imagine a scenario where you can generate leads for free, or very cheap, and no matter whether they like your MLM opportunity or not, you can still get paid! That’s the beauty of the funded proposal concept. By focusing on filling the needs of others and recommending certain training and multi level marketing systems, you can earn affiliate commissions. These earnings can be used to self-fund your lead generation campaigns, so you can market like the top earners with little or no expense.

Problem #2 – Quality

For anyone who has ever purchased leads for any business, they are generally poor. The MLM lead generation companies will usually have guarantees and promises. But in the end, do you really think that they are building relationships with the prospects? These are mass-produced leads, generated from vague ads. The lead companies are trying to collect quantity, not quality. And furthermore, because the leads are often sold multiple times, the same lead may be getting hounded by a few, or even dozens, of callers like you.

Solution

There Ain’t No Free Lunch

First, stop buying into the junk you see on the internet, with big promises. Now I’m not saying that there aren’t a few miracle success stories, because there are. But I’m talking to all of you “normal” people out there! Listen, you can’t build your downline in a week or a month. You can’t build a downline by doing nothing. Most network marketers can’t build a downline using traditional methods. It just doesn’t work!

What I Mean By “How to Build Your Downline”

Most ads that promise to show you how to build your downline are based on recruiting. Certainly, recruiting or sponsoring is the first step. But that’s just signing people up. If those people don’t multiply, what good is it, really?

You will not make real money in network marketing unless you really know how to BUILD your downline, that is, sponsoring the right quantity and QUALITY of distributors, training, coaching and developing their skills, and showing them how to duplicate the process to build their downlines.

Once you figure out how to do all three, your downline will have its own life, not just dependent on you being a super-recruiter (which doesn’t even work anyway)!

Who To Sponsor

I’ll be honest. Most new network marketers would sign up anyone with a pulse. But that does not make for a duplicating downline. To truly build a downline, you need current or future MLM pros. People who share your goal of building a strong MLM business and are willing to work for it. So, targeting your marketing is vital.

Certainly, you’ll need some quantity when it comes to your sponsoring. But it isn’t about mass quantity if they aren’t going to duplicate. I’d rather have 5 great team members than 100 that never do anything.

Developing  Your Downline Into Duplication

Don’t be like every other sponsor in the business, spewing out the same old training methods. Usually, sponsors don’t really know how to build your downline. They only can repeat what they’ve heard. We have this weird, irrational habit in MLM of listening to your sponsor, even if they just joined right before you did!

If you cannot teach your downline exactly what to do and coach them along as they do it, forget it. Learn how to use duplicable MLM systems and insist that your team use the same one. By all of you doing the same thing, tremendous support and synergy develops, and your downline can multiply.

The 100 Day Challenge

Commit yourself. I mean REALLY COMMIT yourself to jump start your business for 100 days with psycho-level effort. Then reevaluate. But do not quit! You cannot judge whether something is working unless you implement it, refine it, study it and are consistent.

1. Get an MLM System. Learn it. Use it. It will have training to teach you ALL the following steps!
2. Pick one strategy. I recommend you start with the fastest, easiest methods, such as social media marketing. Learn it, Do it until you start receiving daily leads. Make it part of your daily routine from today forward.
3. Build a blog. Takes some effort, but it doesn’t have to be perfect. It can be plain and boring. It doesn’t matter. Start writing daily posts.
4. Learn some basic backlinking techniques, social sharing and article marketing.

It will probably start slow, but this is how to build your downline. Most importantly, regardless of your experience level, don’t do all this alone. Get a mentor. Just like your downline needs you, YOU need a mentor to help you.

WTH? I Hate MLM? Really?

Anyone with a blog doing online marketing does keyword research. Not news to most people.

So, I was on Google poking around, and I ran across “I Hate MLM” as a suggested keyword. I laughed, because I know we all have that thought run through our heads once in a while, no matter how much we might actually like, or dare I say, LOVE network marketing.

Of course, after tremendous analysis (looking at the number), I learned that 91 people each month type “I Hate MLM” into a Google search box around the globe. (I didn’t expand my research to Bing, Yahoo, etc., so the true number of MLM Haters is probably a little higher).

It started me wondering… Why? WHY do maybe 150 people each month search that? WHAT are they trying to find? It’s not that I am surprised that 150 people hate MLM… it’s that 150 searched for I Hate MLM.

It’s just that it seems more of a statement than a query.

But, compassionate to their needs, and always trying to do my best for mankind, I pondered the situation. I came up with a few viable explanations that I felt compelled to share with you.

Reasons To Search For “I Hate MLM”

Looking for a Support Group. Maybe they were traumatized by a bad MLM experience, and looking for others to share their story with. Misery loves company, you know.

They don’t mean multilevel marketing. Sure, we think of MLM as multilevel marketing. But maybe there’s some slang term I don’t know about? Like LOL, or LMAO? If you’re 13, maybe you can help me out here.

Roman numerals. Isn’t MLM Roman numerals for something? Like 1950? Not sure, but maybe that was a bad year for a lot of people?

“I Hate MLM” - A Desperate Cry For Help.

After analyzing all the possible options, I’ve concluded that searching for “I Hate MLM” is a desperate cry for help. You feel alone, with your dreams shattered. You came into the business starry-eyed and eager to achieve, but your upline let you down. Your warm market now hates you. You have cases of MLM stuff in your garage. You need help. You lash out at Google with your final plea… I HATE MLM!

Don’t worry. We’re here for you. We can help. It may not have been your fault. We’ve all been where you are. It’s ok.

Best practice: Pick ONE marketing method, whether article writing, Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn marketing, pay per click, etc. Learn one method and get it generating daily leads for you before moving on to the next.

Learn, learn, learn. MLSP has so much to offer. Take time to improve your skills to become an MLM pro. Dedicate yourself to using the system for at least 6 months or better yet, a year. Some people get results faster than others depending on their skills, availability of time, and amount of effort. You WILL generate leads and build your business if you keep at it!

WARNING: You MUST put forth some effort. Unless you’re already an internet marketer or techie type, some of the concepts will be foreign to you and confusing. But help is always available, so just know that you can work through anything you are challenged by! True MLM Pros Are Hard To Find

Let’s cut to the chase. Most people in the MLM industry don’t take it seriously, don’t work at it and don’t care. Now, that’s not necessarily bad. Not everyone can be a superstar.

But the problem is when these people give the business a bad name because they act unprofessionally. Think about it. How many network marketers do you know that you would really call true a true network marketing pro, versus those that do nothing positive for our industry? Very few, I imagine.

Next, think about the success level of those few versus the others. My guess is that most of those you label an MLM pro are growing their businesses, making some money and creating a future. The others? Probably just going nowhere fast.

What Makes Someone An MLM Pro?

It isn’t necessarily what you may think. Overwhelmingly, the most successful network marketers aren’t Einstein, aren’t smooth-talking salespeople, aren’t just lucky. They don’t have any special super powers. But they do tend to share some common habits.

Goals

They have real goals. (Note: I don’t just mean they wish they were an astronaut and had a Ferrari and a million dollars. That’s a wish, not a goal.)

A goal is something that you set your mind to accomplish. They want something. They are working toward something. They have a “why”. A “why” is your personal motivation for doing something. Maybe your “why” is to spend more time with your kids. Or you hate working at a regular job. Perhaps you want to donate your time to charitable causes. Or maybe you just want the financial freedom that success brings.

Whatever it is, an MLM pro has defined goals AND is willing to work for them and NEVER quit!

Attitude

This is the tough one. Being a network marketing pro isn’t always easy. It’s a business of faith. Sure, we hear stories of overnight successes. But most of us didn’t start that way. You work and work, for nothing at first. It’s opposite of what we’re all conditioned to do. We’re accustomed to working for a wage. It’s instant (but lousy) gratification.

But attitude is beyond just patience and faith. It’s about a mental state. You have to believe in what you’re doing, and know that it is good. You have to share that positivity, avoid the negative and surround yourself with the like-minded. A great attitude is contagious. Unfortunately, so are bad ones.

Commitment to Learning

Look, nobody is an instant network marketing pro. Like any profession, there’s a learning curve. MLM pros understand this, and invest in their education, practice and develop their skills, seek the guidance of mentors and self-evaluate to continue improving. Hacks, on the other hand, just wait for it to magically happen, invest nothing and wonder why it isn’t working for them.

Doctors and lawyers spend 7-10 years (or something like that) in college and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on their education. Most network marketers expect to make more than them, but quit if they don’t get it in a month or two. They won’t even spend a couple hundred bucks on some training materials, or even watch free training webinars! Crazy!

Commitment to Teaching

Learn and teach. Learn TO teach. Too many network marketers sign up people on big promises, then leave them hanging. An MLM pro is a teacher, coach and mentor. All of us are (hopefully) learning all the time. Blog. Send emails. Hold webinars. Schedule coaching sessions. You don’t need to be a professor or Tony Robbins. But you do need to be present, willing and available to share your knowledge with hungry new distributors.

Network marketing pros are able to grow successful organizations because they nurture the growth of their team. Hacks care only about the signup bonus, but are unwilling to invest themselves in their people.
